See U Inn has an internal protocol in place that complies with the recommendations and guidelines of the  Portuguese General Health Directorate (DGS). This protocol, that classifies See U Inn as a "Healthy & Safe Establishment", is designed to ensure your safety and peace of mind from check-in to check-out.

Our priority is to protect and guarantee the safety of our Guests and Personnel.

  1. HOTEL SEE U INN HAS:

    • Alcohol-based solution dispensers:
      1. next to entry and exit points;
      2. per floor of the Hotel
      3. in common toilet facilities.
    • Information on the correct hand hygiene at each dispenser.
    • Paper wipes for drying hands, in sanitary facilities and other points where hand hygiene is possible;
    • Sensor lighting to avoid contact with switches in common spaces (toilets, corridors, Hotel entrance/exit, etc.)
    • Waste container with non-manual opening and plastic bag, near points where hand drying paper is used;
    • Single-use cleaning equipment that must be disposed of or discarded after use. When single-use is not possible, cleaning and disinfection after use is provided (e.g. buckets and handles);
    • Disinfectant detergent for hygiene and cleaning coatings, equipment and utensils, as well as objects and surfaces that are more handled (e.g. tables, counters, chairs, handrails, door handles, switches, etc.)
    • Social distancing information.
    • Temperature measuring instruments.
    • An Isolation Room for people who can be detected as suspected cases or confirmed cases of COVID-19.

       

  2. HYGIENE AND SECURITY MEASURES TO BE ADOPTED BY STAFF MEMBERS & MANAGEMENT:

    • Staff members and management carry out daily self-monitoring to assess fever temperature, cough or difficulty in breathing.
    • Mandatory face mask for staff and management.
    • Staff members will not enter or leave the Hotel using their uniforms.
    • The use of personal accessories is not advisable (earrings, bracelets, rings, etc.)
    • Staff members will not use mobile phones and earpieces on duty.
    • Room cards will be disinfected when guest checks in and checks out.

       

  3. CLEANING AND HYGIENIZATION PLAN – ROOMS AND FLOORS:

    • Specific care for changing bed linen and cleaning in rooms:
      1. Time of at least 3 hours between removing sheets and bedding and cleaning floors and surfaces.
      2. Bed linen and towels will be removed without shaking items and by rolling them inwards, without touching the body, placed in specific closed and duly identified bags and taken directly to the laundry.
      3. Separate washing and drying machines for staff uniforms and bed linen.
    • The laundry will be washed at the highest possible temperature:
      1. Disinfection cycle of at least 60ºC for 30 minutes, or between 80-90ºC for 10 minutes.
      2. If the laundry cannot be washed hot, it will be washed at a temperature between 30-40ºC with a final disinfection cycle.
    • Room curtains will be sanitized after each check-out.
    • Cleaning surfaces and floors:
      1. Wet cleaning for surfaces and floors.
      2. Vacuum cleaners will not be used.
      3. Different single-use cleaning cloths for bedroom and bathroom areas.
      4. The bathroom cleaning bucket and mop is different from the bedroom area cleaning bucket and mop.

         

  4. CLEANING AND HYGIENIZATION PLAN – SNACK LOUNGE AND BEVERAGE AREA:

    • Regular washing and disinfection of surfaces where personnel and guests circulate.
    • Cleaning, several times a day, of surfaces and objects of common use (tables, chairs, counters, benches, handles, etc.).
    • The entrance door to the snack lounge area allows constant air renewal.
    • Good hygiene and food safety practices that will be followed throughout the preparation and cooking phase, giving special importance to hand washing, handling and storage of food and its correct preparation.

       

  5. SUSPECTED / CONFIRMED CASE OF COVID-19 AT THE HOTEL? WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

    • Internal Communication Process & Procedures to be followed: available at the Reception Desk and in every room.

       

  6. OUR ISOLATION ROOM CONTAINS:

    • sanitary installation for exclusive use, inside the room;
    • natural ventilation in the room;
    • mechanical ventilation system in the sanitary installation;
    • smooth and washable floor and coatings;
    • alcohol-based disinfectant solution;
    • surgical masks and disposable gloves;
    • paper wipes;
    • used clothing waste bags;
    • bed and television;
    • kit with water and non-perishable food.
